I’m going to continue highlighting stories of racism at the Ukraine-Poland border. Today, Al Jazeera published a first-person account from a Somali man, Mustafa Mohamed, who recounted how he and fellow Somalis burned some of their clothes and bags to stay warm at night. “They let in Ukrainian women and children first, then Ukrainian men. Their people were their priority, which I can understand,” he said.

South Africa
More trouble for former South African president Jacob Zuma. The 79-year-old has been accused of corruption in the third report to come from three years of investigations. Zuma is already on trial for seperate corruption charges. The report has been handed to current President Cyril Ramaphosa. Beset by problems and corruption accusations, the ruling ANC has recently suffered a slump in popularity.

Nigeria
Scores of Nigerian women protested in the streets today after the country’s parliament voted against the adoption of five bills aimed at improving gender equality. The provisions included assigning 35 percent of legislative seats to women and reserving 35 percent of leadership positions in political parties for women.
