Hello Barry, I'm 26 and living in Dublin by way of Kilkenny. I'm a big fan of Proximities' format and appreciate how hard it must be sometimes to keep it to three stories in each newsletter! I really like that it helps me to, even slightly, de-centre the West in my news diet. My partner is from India and distrusts much of the media over there that is under the government's influence, and that's made me more conscious of how and where I get my news too. I don't read it every single day, but sometimes I go back and catch up on past stories, you might see something like that reflected in your stats! Eleanor

Hi Eleanor,

I do see that reflected in my statistics! Sometimes open rates bounce up days after a post has been published. Now I'll be like, "That's Eleanor..."

That's interesting about your partner. You can tell him I do enjoy Indian TV news with 16 people being interviewed at once sometimes.. No, it's getting more and more difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff with so much noise out there now. I have to be very careful with the sources I choose to link to in the newsletter also. I vet them all.

Time for media literacy to be taught in schools, I reckon.

Thanks for saying hello and for being a subscriber.

Barry.
