Somalia
At least 15 people were killed in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu today when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive vest outside a military training center run by Somali and Turkish forces. Local reports said the bomber disguised himself as a recruit and joined a line outside the facility. The al-Shabab armed group, which has targeted the training center several times before, later claimed responsibility for the attack.

Israel-Palestine
Israeli far-right nationalists have begun marching through occupied East Jerusalem in a move that analysts say will inflame already sky-high tensions. The procession, known as the March of the Flags, commemorates Israel’s 1967 occupation of Jerusalem’s eastern half and chants of “Death to Arabs” have marked it in previous years. A crackdown on Palestinian protests in East Jerusalem proved the flashpoint that led to Israel’s 11-day bombardment of the Gaza Strip last month.

Jack Ma, once China’s richest man, is “lying low,” according to colleague Joe Tsai. Ma has seen his fortune and power wane since he fell foul of regulators ahead of the market debut of his Ant Group company, which would have been the world’s biggest ever public offering. Chinese government critics believe he was targeted after criticizing Beijing’s financial sector and say Communist Party officials feared his growing power. "The idea that Jack has this enormous amount of power, I think that's not quite right. He is just like you and me, he's a normal individual,” Tsai told CNBC.
