The World Food Programme (WHO) today said that health needs in the Gaza strip following Israel’s 11-day bombardment were “staggering”. WHO said that about 77,000 people had been left homeless and 30 health facilities had been destroyed.

And it’s official. Benjamin Netanyahu’s 12-year term as Israeli prime minister is coming to an end. Opposition parties this evening finalised a deal to form a coalition government ahead of a midnight deadline. Far-right politician Naftali Bennett will become prime minister but in a broad coalition bound to blunt his preferred agenda.
