Israel-Palestine
Israeli forces today raided the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, killing at least five Palestinians and wounding almost 100 as a helicopter gunship was used. One of the dead, Ahmed Saqr, was 15 years old. The raid, which the Israeli military said was aimed at arresting two people, led to an hours-long gun battle with Palestinian armed groups during which the Islamic Jihad group said two of its members were killed. Some 124 Palestinians have been killed this year, mostly in Israeli military raids on parts of the West Bank, and often in the Jenin camp.
