Six Palestinian prisoners have carried out an extraordinary escape from a high-security prison in Israel, tunnelling their way out. The six men, who included a former leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade and five Islamic Jihad members, shared a cell and are reported to have tunnelled underneath the toilet using a rusty spoon that they kept hidden behind a poster. The fugitives are still at large and, according to Israeli media, some 200 roadblocks have been thrown up as police search for them.

Guinea
The leader of yesterday’s military coup in Guinea, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, today summoned ministers and officials to parliament and told them that, while there would be no “witch hunt”, their passports and vehicles were being confiscated to make sure they didn’t flee the country. The coup has been condemned by the UN, the African Union and a West African grouping of nations known as ECOWAS. President Alpha Conde, a former political prisoner, was democratically elected in 2010 amid a wave of optimism but he has been accused of taking an authoritarian lurch in recent years.

Brazil
Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro has signed into law a bill that will restrict the ability of social media companies to remove posts and ban accounts. Bolsonaro and his supporters have had many posts removed from platforms including YouTube and Facebook for spreading disinformation related to the coronavirus pandemic.

When something novel and new arrives, such as the corona virus it is natural and normal for scientist not to reach instant consensus. It takes time and many peer reviewed studies before there is a definitive answer.
What is "unnatural , and unfortunate, is that the debate has been squelched with the label....disinformation. Why was the normal process of scientific debate not allowed to proceed
along the usual course?
