Haiti
A stunning headline out of Haiti. The country’s chief prosecutor is recommending charges against Prime Minister Ariel Henry in connection with the assassination of President Jovenel Moise in July. Bed-Ford Claude today asked the judge investigating the case to charge Henry, accusing him of speaking on the phone with a key suspect on the night of the murder. Henry was named PM just days before Moise’s killing.

Somalia
A suicide bomber in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu today killed 11 people, including at least three civilians, according to security forces. The bomber targeted a tea shop beside a military base in an attack claimed by the al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabab armed group. Al-Shabab, which has been battling the government for more than a decade, controls territory in rural areas and carries out regular attacks in Mogadishu.
