Ethiopia
At least 150 people starved to death in Ethiopia’s war-hit Tigray region last month, according to Tigray forces. UN agencies and aid groups have accused the Ethiopian government of deliberately keeping aid out of the rebel-held region. The first aid convoy in two weeks reached Tigray yesterday but the World Food Programme says 100 trucks a day are needed to get enough emergency food aid to those who need it.

Israel-Palestine
Israeli security forces continue a massive manhunt for six high-profile Palestinian prisoners who tunneled out of one of the country’s most secure prisons on Monday. An initial probe by prison authorities has found that a key guard was asleep in a watchtower as the men escaped. Some 90 Palestinian prisoners have been removed from the jail as prison officers scour the facility for more tunnels.
